Questions and answers

Anything else, call the front desk.

How do I try a class?

Choose a class on the booking page, or call the front desk and we'll help you choose. Come in a plain t-shirt and loose pants.

Do I need to buy anything before I start?

No. A uniform is the one thing to buy, and only after you've decided to stay. The front desk fits it for you.

What does tuition cover?

Tuition depends on the class group and how often a student attends, and it is billed monthly. The front desk goes over the figures with you when you visit.

What does a class look like?

We bow in, warm up, practice basics, work on a form and finish with slow partner practice, then bow out together.

Is there a class for my child's age?

We teach ages 6 and up: two groups for kids, a teen class, and a family class for a parent and child together. We don't have a class for younger children.

How big are the classes?

Kids' and teens' classes have up to 12 students, adult classes up to 16 and family classes up to 10.

Does a student test on a set day?

No. A belt test happens at the end of a regular class, when the instructor sees the skills. Families are welcome to stay and watch.

What if we miss a class?

Tell the front desk, and sit in on another class at the same level that week or the next.

Still wondering?

Send a message or call, and the front desk will reply.
